Even if it was not a priority at the origin,
it is clear that Calepino was well received internationally.
In less than a year, our small notebooks made in France
have been sold in more than fifty countries.
Last in list, in Montreal – Canada at the nice shop Rooney.
In Seoul as well, South Korea (pictures hopefully soon).
And more recently in Singapore.
There are two shops carrying international designer brands,
such as Engineered Garment, Makr, Il Brusseto, Moscot et Gitman Vintage,
and now Calepino.
Both located in the capital, the shops KNOW NOTHING IT
and the very recent (open only a few days ago) PACT also develop
their own creations branded SIFR.

As often, it is a story of meetings. The one between Calepino and Thierry Weyd in charge of the “Editions Cactus“, which invests different fields such as literature, poetry, comics, music, performance, visual arts, cinema…
And the one with Lukas Richarz, artist, who lives and works in Nantes at the workshop from the “Association Mille feuilles”.
Meetings which lead to the creation of a work of the latter,
in the form of a book: QUALITY CONTROL (O023).
An object published by “La Manufacture des Cactées” (Editions Cactus), manufactured and printed in Nantes by Calepino in 100 copies, then controlled by its author.
This very special Calepino notebook (I do not reveal anything…) is to be published Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the opening of the exhibition VOLKS TRESOR by Lukas Richarz at the Fermeture Eclair, in Caen (France), starting at 7.30 pm. You will discover its uniqueness and get it on this occasion. Some more pictures will follow ……..

“I said to myself during this beautiful first day of September and seeing it on the table in the garden, that it would probably pleased you to have some news from an old Calepino that has already well lived, traveled and helped many times, many annotated sketches, plans, lists and notes of all kinds … Here are some pictures of my (already!) old Calepino who follows me everywhere for several months now. You will notice: somewhat cuted and intersected to adapt perfectly to the back pocket of my eternal 501 and to adapt the closer my beautiful curves of my little right cheek! !”

The summer holidays are over for Calepino and the orders are now disptached in 24/48h as usual.

This set consists of three Calepino notebooks (lined, squared and blank) in their original color and with the Couverture & The Garbstore logo. You may get them now on the English webshop in two versions

Tomorrow night is the beginning of the holidays for Calepino.
A little rest, travel, and time with family. A good time to relax and maybe to think about the future creations and products.
