Here comes January all all the “Happy new Year” things
and all the winter sales proposals as well.
This year Calepino, for a change, is also following this movement,

During January, Calepino also prepares its new releases for the next 6 months : new collaborations again, new notebooks formats maybe, and some customers’ creations for sure.

Imagined a few month ago and asked by many customers,
the white version of the Calepino notebooks are finaly available.
Manufactured from the same 100% recycled cardboard as the other ones,
these white notebooks are the main items from the Blanc-Albâtre Kit
which is one of the new release from this season.
In each kit you’ll find 2 packs of 3 notebooks (one ruled, one graph and one blank),
but also 6 white and red wooden pencils, and some buttons created for this occasion,
as well as the letterpress bookmark. All items packed in a nice white cardboard box.

 

For the winter 2012/2013, Calepino works with a family-run company founded in 1908 to offer you 3 different pencil sharpeners. These sharpeners are still produced in Germany with the exact same standards as the original ones using brass or aluminium.

I listened and understood.
Some nice customers have asked Calepino to propose a calendar before the end of this year.
A practical wall calendar on which one can take notes.

 

And it’s done :
The first Calepino calendar for 2013 is now on pre-order for the subscribers and blog readers.

It measures 30 x 40 cm and naturally find its place next to the shelf of books in the living room, in the kitchen near the fridge, or hung on the office wall. Get it for yourself or give it to your colleagues, your spouse who retains no date or your roommate for the household / dishes turn.

In the same spirit as the notebooks, the monthly calendar was created thinking about the usefulness of the object; A space is provided for each day to record appointments, birthdays and other parties to remember. For each month of 2013 a printed page, which you will pull on the 31st to not only focus on the coming months. And for those who prefer a more holistic view of time, the whole year is  letterpress printed (like the Calepino bookmarks) onto the white card stock calendar. Use it in a monthly version or as an annual poster.

Funding call – Pre-order

Already drawn, it remains only to print, manufacture and assemble it in the Nantes region.
And for that, Calepino needs your support and appealed to subscribers and readers.
Indeed, for the first time, this item is first available for pre-sale
to raise the necessary funds and fund its manufacture.

To thank the 100 firsts that will support this project, the pre-sale price is 25 euros. After this period and for the following, its price will be 29 euros. It will be sent in early December in a nice cardboard box with a card to thank for your valuable support.

• In a short time it will be the anniversary of Calepino. First year, and a first evening in Nantes to celebrate it. It will be simple, but it will be an opportunity to meet each other in “real” and also the opportunity to unveil a very very limited edition in collaboration with Emilie Bransac, an artist from Nantes. The “official” invitation will soon be on the blog and in the newsletter. In the meantime make sure to note the date in your notebook: Thursday, November 22 – 6pm – One year anniversary + the launch event of the limited edition with Emilie Bransac and of course you’re invited! For people who don’t leave around, I hope you can also make the trip, come and have a drink with us.

 

• The other important event of this year will be the release of the new creation by Calepino. For those who follow us on the blog or Facebook, they will guess what it is … I’ll let others try to find what it will be. Already drawn, it remains only to print and assemble. And for that, Calepino needs your support. Indeed, for the first time, this item will be first available for pre-sale to raise the funds necessary to finance its manufacture and to deliver it in mid-November. • As you may know Calepino now offers a customization service for the notebooks. Many brands and events have requested to do so in recent weeks. So now we are dealing with the printing of these beautiful custom items. I will not fail to advertise on the blog and share pictures as soon as I can. If you ever want to also carry notebooks in collaboration with Calepino to propose before the end of the year, do not wait more .. it takes a month of delay.

 

• And, new copper tools coming soon. A Christmas market near Angers (France) in December. Some white alabaster. Some letterpress. Wooden pencils that are not yellow. Some screen printing. Some sewn-drawn. And other surprises for the coming months.
